Dorthea Lange - Children of Young Migratory Parents

Dorthea Lange has incredible pictures and this is just one of them. You can tell that these kids are homeless and wanting to be loved. How she took it was well done. I liked the shadow and the light and then when the kids are shown they are cast in a darker setting. I like the flower that is drawn above them. You never really know what has happened in the past until you see it in the picture. This is a remarkable picture.

Christopher Burkett - Resplendent Leaves at Sunset

This is such a beautiful picture. The colors in the picture are phenominal. I like that Christopher uses shallow depth of feild, the leaves that are in focused are really sharp.

Annie Leibovitz - Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop, he looks scary, but i have to admit this picture definitely has emotion in it. The way Annie shot this picture is remarkable. I feel like she wanted to show the veins in his body. His body looks leathery and even though the jeans kind of blend in with the black background i think it compliments the picture. His jeans have the right lighting on them and I like the way that he is not centered in the picture.

Alfred Eisenstaedt - Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe is a CLASSIC, I love the gesture she is protraying in this picture. She has a soft look to her. I love that her hair is glowing and her black turtle neck is popping out in the picture. I don't necessary like the background i feel like the lines distrace from her, but i do like the way her body is positioned. You can definitely tell that this picture way taken a while ago.

William Eggleston - Untitled (Red Ceiling)

This picture may not be that intriguing to some people, but why i may think this is a cool picuture is believe it or not that this photographer did not use a red filter. He experienced with different kinds of paper to finally get the correct red that he wanted for this image. I really liked the lines going from the light bulb to the wall. The blacks and whites stand out in the picture. It is trippy because you can tell that this picture was shot at an angle but it makes the picture more interesting.
